Logitech 350 USB headset 08/06/30 06:53:10 By:netrunner1 Just got these things Saturday. They're a vast improvement compared to the low powered male connector microphones I've been using. The mic element has noise cancellation too. I guess that just trims off stuff from the input in the inline chip or whatever, but it sounds good. From my experience unless you're going to get a preamp- always go with a USB microphone. I've been using this one in chat rooms and GTA IV multiplayer. It works on the PS3, but you can't channel the game audio through USB, only voice chat. The TurtleBeach sets only do it because they have A/V splicers. I spliced my Phillips cheapo 38mm driver headphones into PS3 A/V. I'd even produce noise samples for music on this thing it's so good. It's not audiophile good, but better than most consumer stuff. ![]() Meh.. 08/06/16 10:19:23 By:netrunner1 Nothing much going on. Finishing a contract this week. I'm working on getting a 3CCD Camcorder from Panasonic, and getting a 720p 28" LCD for the PS3 so I can do more with Linux. I got GTA IV and Oblivion, and I hear The Sims 3 is to be released in 2009. Gotta be up at 6AM, gonna listen to the Rob Da Bank shows before crashing. New Job Monday 08/05/25 04:07:57 By:netrunner1 I start a new contract Monday morning at 8AM. It's suppose to last three weeks at most. I didn't know you could run Safari on windows. They ported it last year. I used the latest release today to test the site. Only problem was with font size; like Linux Firefox has. I made a CGI browser detector on the pages to load specific CSS files. Legacy pages won't need it because there's no CSS. I'm still going to do a splash page too that detects OS and browser, and sends to 3.1 or 4.01 HTML based sites. I also realized forms look better in firefox compared to IE and Safari. I'll see if I can match looks with CSS later. Not really worried about fine tuning till I get content and projects on here. I might use HTTP sessions down the road to support more users. I have to implement client side encryption in Jscript or Java first for users on public LAN. [1][2][3][4] |
